Sacramento Pride March and Festival will return for a weekend of entertainment, education, and community.
The two-day festival brings together 20,+ collective members to celebrate the colorful culture and community of Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ population. The festival grounds boast three entertainment stages, DJ booths with dance areas, youth and family activities, hundreds of local vendors, food trucks, beverage stations with specialty cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks, and a 21+ VIP Lounge. One-day and two-day tickets are available and are required for entry to the festival.
Sac Pride’s three stages comprise the Q-Spot Live youth stage, the Stonewall Pavilion community stage, and the central Pride Stage – all hosted by Sacramento-favorite drag performers. Saturday’s entertainment lineup will include incredible performances sourced from Sacramento’s creative economy and conclude with a sunset showcase

Description
The Sacramento Celebration 5K Run and 3K Walk is a celebration of the strength, perseverance and love of the LGBTQ+ society. Whether you're a fitness novice or a seasoned jogger, this is a wonderful way to experience Pride Month along with your friends, family and allies. Let's fetch our hearts racing toward the rainbow finish line! Connect us in Aged Sac in front of the Delta King for a race along the Sacramento River north to Discovery Park and back.

At this year’s Celebration 5K, we’re bringing the fabulous to the finish line—and we want YOU in your most creative, colorful, and outrageous costume! Think: mermaids (erm, merpersons), unicorns, matching organization fits, inflatable dinosaurs, glitter beards, queenly royalty, and everything in between! Whether you’re dressing as a walking disco ball or a rainbow warrior, this is your moment to shine.

The Journey Toward Queer Liberation in Sacramento
The roots of the LGBTQ community in California sprint deep. Some might even say they run profound as gold, as it has been rumored the handkerchief code, widely acknowledged in queer social settings, got its origins from the square dances of the California Gold Rush.
Whether or not that can be accepted as a hard-and-fast history, whats undeniable is that our mention was the birthplace of queer liberation groups such as the Mattachine World in , Daughters of Bilitis in and the Society for Individual Rights (SIR) in , all of which spurred national chapters and widespread activism.
And as for Sacramento itself, the vibrant and flourishing LGBTQ community you spot today has its have storied history, advanced at every turn by courageous thought leaders and trailblazers who fought to acquire our citys queer people out of the closet and into the sun.
