The LGBTQ+ rights movement has made tremendous strides over the past few decades and much of the progress in visibility is thanks in part to gay pride parades and marches that have taken place in cities around the world.

When is the Manchester Pride Parade?+
The Manchester Pride Parade will get place on Saturday 23rd August and starts at Midday.
Where does the Parade take place?+
The Procession weaves it way through Manchester City Centre in an unbelievable display of protest. At this stage, we are unable to give the Parade route.
How long is the Parade?+
The Parade kicks off at midday and usually runs all afternoon, the first floats will finish after approximately 90 minutes.

This year's Manchester Pride Parade celebrates Love!
Love has long been a source of strength and resilience for LGBTQ+ people. In the face of historical and continuing discrimination, love has helped homosexual people have the courage to be themselves.
Discrimination towards LGBTQ+ people still exists and the clash for full equality continues. At Manchester Pride , we observe the power of love to overcome these obstacles and develop a future where everyone is free to love and inhabit authentically. Political manoeuvring and systemic oppression mean LGBTQ+ people still face discriminatory law
The Pride LGBTQ+ Community Celebration is one of the undisputed highlights of the Brighton & Hove Identity festival weekend and is a glorious showcase of the city’s charities, community groups and small businesses as well as our invaluable emergency services, the NHS and statutory partners.
It is one of the biggest and brightest events in Brighton & Hove’s events calendar, with over , people thronging the city’s streets to participate in and watch the celebration of community and campaign groups, and the all-singing, all-dancing carnival of colour as it wends its way from Hove Lawns to Preston Park for Pride on the Park supported by Hayu, the official Brighton & Hove Pride charity fundraiser.
We are committed to ensuring that the Pride LGBTQ+ Society Parade retains its group focus and guarantee that at least 2/3 of entrants will be charities, community groups and local LGBTQ+ businesses.
In keeping with the parade standards we introduced in , any businesses in the march should be able to show evidence of having pro-LGBTQ+ policies and encourage the LGBTQ+ community year round. A
