Oscar-winning actor George Clooney has called for the boycott of nine luxury hotels in the US and Europe with ties to the sultan of Brunei. Next week, the Brunei controlled nation will put into action a law making same-sex attracted sex and adultery punishable by death.
Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah rules the oil-rich monarchy with full executive leadership, and the hotels are owned by the Brunei Investment Agency.

When the world heard that George Clooney is single after his recent split from model Elisabetta Canalis, rumours about his sexuality went into overdrive.
But his close friend has dismissed rumours that ‘Hollywood’s most eligible bacherlor’ is gay.
Businessman Manuele Malenotti, who owns clothing rigid Belstaff, said the year-old Hollywood luminary had broken up with glamorous model, simply because he did not long for to settle down and have children.
