Top 10 gay cars
DEARBORN -- In an uncommon move for a U.S. automaker, Ford Motor Co.s Jaguar identity is launching an advertising campaign targeting gay consumers, the business said Tuesday.
The campaign germinated from a major internal study at Ford and Jaguar on how to reach queer consumers, which tend to be fairly affluent with a preference for luxury goods. Ford estimates there are some 14 million gay and lesbian consumers in the United States who wield $ billion in purchasing authority.
"They spend more funds on luxury cars and they have more money to spend," said Simon Sproule, a spokesman for Jaguar. "They are very loyal to brands and organizations that talk to them in a way that is relevant."
Automobile advertisements aimed at gay consumers are fairly frequent in Europe, Australia and other markets, but are rare in the United States.
Jaguar, the Ford-owned maker of British luxury cars, discovered in recent years that many gay consumers were visiting its dealer showrooms.
Beginning later this month, Jaguar will begin running copy ads in magazines that get to the gay

Again, now thats the target market, because the unwind of the market is aware of the hairdressers motorcar stigma and/or the fact that you can get a much better all around car now for that level of money.
BTW, the whole Mazda tag line about being an enthusiast brand is a joke. All marketing. Generally, Mazda makes butt ugly cars that looks enjoy they were planned by the blind and are slightly less reliable than a comparable Toyota or Honda. Actually, today, I consider the Miata is one of the more well styled Mazdas out there, though I contain to admit the latest styling refresh across the board for Mazda is a step in the right route.Click to expand
Well have to approve to disagree then.
The Miata was approved as an enthusiasts car first and foremost (the Japanese designed "softer" version was rejected) and remains in the lineup to this very day because of that despite shockingly low sales.
I actually dont look how they can continue to establish the darned thing with such below average salesmaybe thats why th
Apparently, we as a culture are so wrapped up in the idea of how gay objects, clothing styles, and activities are that we cant even leave automobiles out of it! Thus, the guys at Car Talk, those true caterers of ride conversation, have come up with these: lists of the top 10 male lover and lesbian cars. Lets take a look, shall we?
Car Talk took a completely non-scientific poll and queried their lesbian and gay listeners, and apparently some straight and multi-attracted people, too, asking for nominations of the top queer vehicles.

Honda CR-V? I dont care that you saw a ton of them in the parking lot at Lillith Fair, my father drives a Honda CR-V. That SUV is forever spoiled to me as some kind of lesbian legend. But as a Gunmanian, I am pretty joyful to see not one but two Subaru vehicles making the list. If you didnt know it, Subarus Japanese factory is in Gunma Prefecture, part of the Tokyo Regional A
Perhaps I am way off base, but in arrange to even be considered a "lesbian car" (let alone an "ultimate queer woman car"), adequate bumper, trunk, tailgate, and rear window room MUST be available for all of the required signage that goes along with being a woman loving woman.
I often wondered if a plan-o-gram was sent out to members of the gay/lesbian group indicating proper placement of those rainbow flags, pink triangles, "hate is not a family value," etc. stickers from an organizational leader or the favor.
I think that narrows it down to cars like Honda sedans and wagons, Volvo wagons, Suzuki Vitaras, Geo Trackers (and all other automobile -- like SUVs), and, of course, Saturns.
My vote would move to the Volvo wagon based on the above criteria.

I would fancy to nominate the Chevy Blazer: two door models for those gay girls who simply want to travel light and appreciate the great outdoors, and the four door for those gal couples who may have opted to try the family trial. I am certain that lesbians may be just as, if not more, car conscious as stra
