Tim Bagley Reveals He Couldn’t Audition for ‘SNL’ Due to His Sexuality
Tim Bagley recently appeared on Radio Andy’s “The Julia Cunningham Show” and revealed that he was never given the opportunity to audition for “Saturday Night Live” due to his sexuality. He also opened up about the struggles he faced growing up lgbtq+ in a community and household that labeled his culture a mental illness.
“I was out as a gay male and people knew that they would not hire openly gay people,” Tim said about the “Saturday Night Live” audition process years ago.
“It was Lorne Michaels and Bernie Brillstein had thoughtful of a thing where they did not hire homosexual people, so I never got to audition,” the “Somebody Somewhere” continued. “All my friends did, and I was always kind of a standout at The Groundlings, but I was out, and so that’s the problem with being out help then was there were no guardrails. I mean, if somebody didn’t desire to have you on their display, they just couldn’t, I don’t comprehend. They weren’t trying to seek out, you know, LGBTQ people back then.”
Tim also reflected on trying to “not be gay” earl

"We're geared up to present very current and controversial programming," Rebich said, including a nighttime adore, sex and relationship program.

In a city famous for its happy hour culture, summer can be an even better day to take advantage of post-work drink and food deals. Interns are in town, summer Fridays are in full swing, and patios and rooftops are aplenty. Here are a few prime, non-comprehensive spots for an afternoon deal with besties, colleagues, and new connections.
Alfreda. Dupont’s Alfreda, a tribute to the chef’s grandmother, offers relaxed pizza and traditional Italian eats. The happy hour runs Monday-Friday p.m., featuring $8 spritzes and BOGO pizzas. Few do spritzes like the Italians, and Alfreda leans in on five kinds plus one N/A spritz; our go-to is the rose and mezcal with grapefruit or the locally made Don Ciccio limoncello spritz with basil.
Lyle’s. Especially leaning into the spritz side of summer is at Lyle’s, fully embracing the fizzy ephemera of the season with the Summer of Spritz. The Dupont Circle hotel restaurant imagines cocktails from France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Spritzes highlight limoncello and vinho verde. For those that knock Lyle’s
